DOG FRIENDLY HOLIDAYS

We specialise in pet friendly holidays here at Treworgey and you are very welcome to bring up to 2 dogs to stay......... We also welcome your well behaved cat, tortoise, pet rabbit or pony!
Over half our guests return and many return regularly with their dogs who as the years go by also seem to develop a special affection for Treworgey.

We find that dog owners love the fact that each cottage has it's very own delightful enclosed private garden with a wonderful view. Guests also love the fact that there are wonderful walks from your garden gate along our flower filled lanes across Treworgey's beautiful 150 acres of rolling green hills with fabulous views to the sea and the Looe river. Several cottages have a gate leading directly into a meadow or the start of our woodland walk. We have outside taps available which come in handy in winter for those who like to walk for miles what ever the weather.

In each 5 star cottage is an information folder giving information of all the local attractions and beaches that welcome dogs.
Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter holidays are all very popular. Out of season Holidays are reasonably priced and have the advantage of the weather not being too hot for the dogs, Cornwall is less crowded and we have a wealth of fantastic coastal walks as well as wonderful woodlands. The moors are only 20 minutes away. Added to that, there are lots more wonderful beaches open to dogs outside the peak summer months. Our prices include all your central heating and electricity, and really comfortable beds, with crisp white linen and towels.
Please note we make a charge of £21 per dog per week or part week. This is because we put throws on all the arm chairs and wash them each time. We also allow time for an extra clean. We do this because several of our guests are allergic to dogs and we feel that the charge helps towards us ensuring that the next person won't be likely to come across a stray dog hair that might set them sneezing!

We are dog lovers ourselves and have had some wonderful times walking and riding with our collie dog Meg. Many guests have had fond memories of 17 years with Meg who was also a big hit with guests who didn't have a dog with them, but wish that they had! Nowadays it is scruffy little Bee (terrier cross poodle) who is here to greet you and who has developed an increasing following over the past two years. We are a farm here at Treworgey and sheep, cattle, horses, chickens and ducks roam our fields. We always have an empty paddock where guests are able to freely run their dogs. We do ask guests to follow the country code and close all gates and keep dogs on a lead when in the close vicinity of stock. We also ask that guests don't go out and leave dogs alone in their cottage.

You can enjoy the freedom from domestic chores here. Delicious home cooked dinners can be delivered by us to your cottage most evenings. You can even order all your groceries and local yummy cornish food to await your arrival in your cottage. We also have great local organic food for sale on site here. If you haven't been fooded out in your cottage, there are lots of wonderful resturants nearby that use local produce including our famous freshly caught Looe fish. Some accept dogs. All our cottages can have romantic log fires.
